Ok so I know a lot of the users here might not have even been alive yet when this happened, but I am racking my brain trying to find info on this, or remember what it was called.
Basically, *SOMEWHERE* between 1994 and 1996, in the infancy of the internet as we know it today, Nintendo Power hosted some sort of online Zelda-based experience. Scouring through back issues of Nintendo Power, I couldn't find any info about it, though I'm *quite* certain there was an article about it in one issue (and it was quite likely hosted through NP's AOL site, Nintendo Power Source)
What I *do* know for certain (and have found info on) was a similar online experience for Metroid in 1996, titled "Blood of the Chozo", which was also hosted by Nintendo Power Source. (mentioned in issue 84 of Nintendo Power.) As for the Zelda experience... I got nothing.
Does anyone else by any chance remember this??
Online Zelda experience in the mid-90's? Swear this existed...

After looking more into this, it's possible that this event really *was* Camp Hyrule, but a much earlier version of it, as the event had started in 1995. I'm quite certain that it was not actually called Camp Hyrule at the time though: All I can remember are a few pictures posted in Nintendo Power, depicting a monkey with a sword and shield, as well as a Wizzrobe holding a drink named "Marty the Wizzrobe".
yes, I swear these were both real. It was a bit tongue-in-cheek.

I tried to do a little digging, and all I've found so far is this from issue 74 of Nintendo Power.
I've checked some later issues up to 80, and couldn't find anything else. I suspect you may have looked there, anyway. Thought it might help a little.
However, I have not checked the 1994 issues (yet), only the 1995 ones.

I haven't found much either, but admittedly I was scouring for specific articles. It might have been a special in Epic Center or something, though I think that was new to the magazine in 1995.
Something like "Journey to Hyrule" or "Hyrulean Journey" maybe?
UPDATE: *kisses this gorgeous woman*
It was all the way in the N64 era of Nintendo Power, but before Ocarina. Neatly wedged away in October, 1996!

"A Hyrulean Adventure"
As far as I can tell, no it doesn't seem to have anything to do with Camp Hyrule, unless of course Camp Hyrule was rebranded (it started in 1995, and ended in 2007.) Thing is, I think Camp Hyrule typically ran in August anyways, and this was a few months after, as opposed to an ongoing event that month... so no, I don't think this had anything to do with it. Interesting.
EDIT EDIT: archive is being terrible, try this
