I had a quick question. Is it possible to use scripting to change the rules (ie toggle them off and on) during the game. For example, I have the rule "Messages Freeze All Action" checked, cuz I usually don't want the player to move when messages are on screen. But there are some parts, where I would like them to be able to move around while a message is playing. So is there any way to turn a rule off on one screen, but still have it be in effect for other screens? If not there are other ways to do this, but I wondered if it's possible with scripting.
Just curious

I'd imagine that some sort of script could be concocted to allow you to basically paralyse the player on certain screens by using some sort of "If message is playing on X screen, then freeze player if they are on X screen as well" action. It sounds like it might be some sort of global script though that would check for Link's presence on those X screens, then if he is present, it would check for a message string in process and if it found that it would freeze Link until the message is complete. How this would be accomplished though is beyond me as I've yet to learn scripting, but I'd imagine that if it's possible, someone here more skilled with Zscript can figure it out for you.....

Thanks for your input. I'll probably end up scripting something like that. I was just hoping there might be some easy function that says "turn this rule off for 'this' screen" or something. But oh well, it'll just be a little more complicated.

Quest rules cannot be directly manipulated via script.
