Is there a better way to get magic then to have to retrace your steps all the way back through Snow Island back to Desert Island where you have to kill several blue leevers to refill your magic? Or do I have to do that every time I run out? (which seems to be all the time)

Hmmm... perhaps I haven't been doing that. ^_^;

This is the greatest hint for this quest. There are so many things to do on the overworld.

I think that should help you out.

Seemed like you needed the flippers to access that island... Guess I should keep looking.
Probably regular, as I don't think you can get super bombs yet.

Kidding, of course.. I'll get 50 rupees together somehow.
As for where the super bomb shop is, Happyman posted this in the other topic.
From the starting island where Level 1 is...
- Use the west raft dock and go to a mini-island with octoroks and red trees
- Use the west raft dock (there are 3, use the one on the far left) and hold the right key to go to Desert Island
- Head east (arrows work well against the huge numbers of leevers) to a shop and buy a super bomb (50 rupees)
- Go back west to where you started. This time, head north while staying close to the west coast of the island
- Use the raft dock up here. Hold the left key to avoid the tiny island at first. On the next branch, hold the down key to get to Forest Island
- North of the screen with the triforce symbol, you should see the Level 2 dungeon entrance at the top right. Use your super bomb on the big rock and enter.
Though, I could've sworn that Hero Link just said that level 2 is on swamp island...

Swamp Island is level 4. Snow island is level 2, just to let you know.

List of levels I've discovered thus far to clear up all confusion:
1 - Town Island
2 - Forest Island
3 - Snow Island
4 - Swamp Island
5 - Waterfall Island
(the rest are just guesses)
6 - No clue
7 - Desert Island?
8 - Death Island?
9 - Isle of the Winds?
Levels 2-5 [and most likely 6-8] require a super bomb each. Go ahead and buy a few when you pass by a shop that sells them is my suggestion.
*returns to fighting Level 5's insanely difficult boss*
And if you really wanna spoil it, the items I know of, highlight to see
1 - Bow, Whistle, Raft sorta
2 - Magic Boomerang, Candle
3 - Wand, Bracelet
4 - Ladder
5 - Hookshot, Flippers
[rest are just guesses again]
6 - No clue, maybe Hammer
7 - Boots probably, maybe Hammer
8 - No clue

Here is exactly how they are. Remember though, you do not have to play them in order.
1-Town Island
2-Forest Island
3-Snow Island
4-Swamp Island
5-Waterfall Island
6-Death Island
7-Desert Island
8-Volcano Island
9-Isle of the Winds
Anyways, I think most levels require a super bomb to enter.
