Hello there. I'm wondering if it is possible to allow the player to choose between different levels of items in the subscreen. For example, picking whether to use Wooden Boomerang or Magic Boomerang.

Is this even possible? And if so, what items can you apply this to?

Oh yeah, almost forgot, this is concerning 2.5 RC2.5.

Thanks in advance.

Yes indeed! Make one Current Item subscreen element for each item, and set the Item Override to force it to use the specified item instead of the highest level.

Excellent.

Could this also apply to inventory items, like Rings? I can't do 25% damage reduction through the damage divisor, so maybe that could be an option for making the Red Ring not a "I win" item.

This only applies to selectable items. I could *probably* make a scripted item that lets you switch between rings, though. Now that I mention it, I realize it would be pretty useful to have in SoD.

Yeah, that sounds like a pretty good way to implement Magic Armor or whatever it was called in them Zelda games.

But being able to do that to weapons without having to learn languages should suffice for most tricks.
