I've been thinking of this concept for a while. I was originally thinking of having the boss key unlock the second half of the dungeon, but then I thought that it would add to the challenge if after the "mini-boss / medium" key unlocked this second half of the dungeon, you still needed to find another boss key to get to the actual boss.

There are three possibilities for how this could work:

1: Two separate DMaps with different numbers so I could have two separate boss keys. This won't work because I want to be able to use keys obtained in one area in the other area.

2: One time use boss keys. I'm pretty sure this could work, but I would like to be able to use the boss keys in more than one spot (like in A Link to the Past) and I would like to have both boss keys displayed on the subscreen.

3: Scripted second boss key. This idea seems easy, it would allow me two have two different boss keys and be able to use them in multiple areas, and I think it would be easy to do (I just need an item and a combo/flag that will react to the new key).

tl;dr version: Can someone script this for me? I want a second boss key (the "medium" key). The medium key is not compatible with locks for small or big keys, and it can be used on a DMap that already has a normal boss/big key. I was thinking maybe replacing the magic key or a normal key (because I used level-specific keys and I don't believe in using the magic key). Not too hard, anyone want to try it?
