Don't you think that devoting an entire "guild" to a tile sheet is a bit excessive? [/LAME JOKE]

I think he meant guide, not guild.

There shouldn't need to BE a guide, Aaron. They're just loose tiles. All you have to do is rip them properly. icon_razz.gif

The 'alt' tiles are alternates. Simple as that. To the extent of.. if you don't like the default one in the set, here's another one you can use.

As for progress, I've received some slashing tiles today from Exate. I'm still waiting to see if my special guest responds with his work. Either way, I intend to release these on Friday.

Update:

icon_smile.gif Yep. I moved everything again.

Yeah. I'm not crazy about the slash tiles either. Even Exate said they were kinda iffy.

I might look at an MC sprite sheet and try to extrapolate some from there. Dunno.

I think I know what the problem with the Slash tiles are--the current ones make Link's head too small compared to the others. The tuft of hair on top doesn't appear very well, which in turn leaves a nice void where the rest of the hair should be.

Hold on Xav, I'll see if I can fix this.

EDIT: Heh, that was too easy.

On.
Those are great Linkus. And with that, the set is officially complete, correct?

No, I don't think so. The swimming tiles might be next thing I'll edit in order to solve the problem Joe Dirt mentioned before, along with a better attempt to make Link look like he's swimming.

That's right, good ole swimming tiles... although the diving problem that Joe Dirt mentioned has already been fixed. Or, at least made better.

.. There's something wrong with the swimming tiles I'm using? All I did is use DZ's style of layering the ripples over the head. Is this wrong?

Far be it for me to deny your help. Hell, I'd be a fool to say no. Just be aware that I'd like to release these tomorrow. Also, your gallery.

Regardless. Latest screenshot.

Converted SD's jumping tiles. They're not.. great. But, they'll do. All credits are now on a seperate page.

Done, although I'm not sure I like the north-facing ones. Probably too choppy...

Those are probably the smoothest animations in a long, long time. The bottom ones, especially. I'm tempted to throw a cap on the tiles and submit them to Radien for the next DoR set.
