Well... I am sending it back, because I have come to the conclusion that it's DoA... With that processor, it should have worked, because it was on the compatibility list, listing it worked with all the BIOS versions. I already got an RMA number, just gotta send it back, and they'll test it, and send me a new one, once they figure out it's not a good board.

Well, I picked up a new motherboard today, and got it all put in and everything, since the last one didn't work out for me like I had hoped. I assembled everything that needed to be done, and it would load into Windows XP, Windows 7, System Repair, and Memory Diagnostic. The thing is.... it would keep freezing shortly after it started running. Well, I had a feeling that it was the memory, since it was happening, whenever memory was in high demand. So I put in some older sticks that are from this computer from when I bought it. Well, after putting that in, it has been working just fine. The unfortunate thing is that the memory I was going to use, was 2 sticks of 2GB, but now I am using 2 sticks of 512MB... So yeah, my old motherboard took my memory down with it when it crashed completely... At least this thing runs again, and I will be able to upgrade to a Quad-Core AM2+ processor, and will be able to get DDR2 1066, compared to my DDR2 533. That works for me.

Well, a couple weeks ago I was able to pick up a couple sticks of 2GB DDR2 667 memory, which isn't quite what I wanted, but a lot better then using what I had in it. So I'm back up to 4GB of RAM like I wanted to be, and will upgrade to something more in the future, plus get an AM3 processor, since this mobo supports it. I had replaced the case fan while I was at it too, because the bearings were going out in the old one. Picked up a Zalman fan, which I find to be a reliable, quiet brand of fans. But in the end, my computer is doing everything it's supposed to be doing, so I am beyond thrilled!
