This is intended as part of a series of tutorials on how to set up some of the various features which people might use in 2.55.
I will include screenshots as much as I can.
This tutorial is on how to set up pots that break, makes sounds, drop items and create a sprite when hit.

For this you will need at least two combos:

  • A pot.
  • A spot where the pot was.

For ease, let's set these up next to one another.

The pot should be of type "None" or "Generic".

The key page in the combo setup to mess with is the "Triggers" tab.
First, select Weapons. This will allow you to decide which items break these pots.

Next, select Effects. For the pot, in Combo Change, put 1.
It you want your pot to make a sound when it is broken, select the SFX from the dropdown menu at the bottom of the page.

Under the tab "Flags" check the box labelled "Drop Item" .

Under the tab "Attribs." put the numerical value of the Item Dropset to use when you break the pot.

For example, Tall Grass Combos usually use the value of 12.

Finally, if you want the pot to create a sprite when hit; go to the "General" tab.

Under "Sprites", "Disappears"- select a weapon sprite to appear when the pot is broken.

That's it! You now how breakable pots which make a sound when broken, drop items and create a sprite when broken.

Wonderful! I think you should also make a branch off this to include liftable pots, as the slashable one is also able to be lifted.

slight note; "Generic" combos are probably not something that should be used if you can ever help it. They are a completely jank-ass Zoria creation, which was basically trying to do everything the "triggers" tab does, but in a single combo's attributes... which is really bad.
