Okay, so I downloaded the Forest Temple by NoeL. I went into my quest (2.10, DoR Tileset) and grabbed them. I Recolored them ("R") and cycled through all of the Csets, and none of them look good with the grabbed tiles.

Is there a way to fix/change this? Or does this set of loose tiles only work for pure?

Palettes and Ripping was always a weak spot of mine when it came to ZC... icon_wacky.gif

icon_biggrin.gif Great tiles.

Ugh, I though I had it down, that it would only rip into Pure, but that doesn't work out either. What am I doing wrong?

Rip the palette in as well. Open up the level palette editor, click Grab and select the .gif file. Then grab the first 3 rows.

Once again, I though I had it, but nooooo. -.-

Here is what I'm doing(DoR 2.10):

1. I grab the tiles and set them on the Combo page
2. I got to Quest - Graphics - Palettes - Level and find an empty slot(15)
3. Grab the first three color sets from the picture
4. Set the room's that I'm placing the tiles in Data - Palette as 15

I cycle through all the Csets...but none of them look as they do in the screenshot!

Okay, this isn't what I think the problem is, but just to be sure, put a tile down and THEN set the palette. Setting a palette on a blank screen doesn't change it; there must be at least one combo.

Are you sure that you're setting it to CSets 2, 3, and 4? CCset 9 is used for enemies, and the other ones are for CSet cycling, so that may be it...

I think that Radien ripped some, but not all, of Noel's tiles. Most notably, NoeL's doors are not present in DoR, and the rest of what makes the dungeon set foresty. I don't believe that the stuff in shots 3 and 4 is in DoR.

Yes, I'm aware that the palettes are changed on blank screens.

How would I set a palette to a Cset..?

Good. Because I make that mistake every so often, and I start yelling at the monitor, and then I realize what the problem is. icon_deformed.gif

No, I mean you rip the 3 CSets that you said you need into the FIRST three slots... 2, 3, and 4. I dunno if that's the problem at all, but only the first 4 slots change anything in the pallette.

Okayyy. Yer s'posed to use the DoR foresty tiles so it's consistant with the rest of the tileset.

Here is one from NoeL's submissions shots.

The tiles in mine are albiet lighter, the the door's colors are all wrong.

Would it help if I uploaded my quest so someone could poke around the palettes and stuff to see what's wrong? I'm uploading it now...

EDIT http://files-upload....ileset.qst.html
2.10

Forest tiles are on tile page ~155 Palette is #15.
