254 also takes forever to load. icon_unsettled.gif

Don't you mean 492?

254 runs quickly for me.

ZC, not ZQuest.

I haven't tried 492. The latest I've tried is 429. icon_unsettled.gif

Whatever version you use, back up your work regularly.

2.10.2 is probably your best bet if you don't want all the new features yet. If you do, there's as yet no stable version of the 2.11 or 2.5 flavour. You can try your luck with the newest version though.

I recommend against picking out any old build as the builds won't be around forever - once we release a new build the old ones are no longer there. So any quest tied to a particular build would mean you have to distribute the build along with your quest.

If you're thinking of submitting it to Pure's database to get it rated and commented on, and to ensure maximum publicity, you must use one of the allowed versions, that means old ones (1.90, 1.92, 2.10).

You should be alright there. There are two 192 builds however, called "beta 1.83" and "1.84". You can upgrade from 1.83 to 1.84 at any time, even copy save files between the two versions.

I'd say stick with what you've got now. There are a few bugs you need to watch out for:
in 1.83 you can get stuck in walls in some cases,
in 1.84 if you use the map more than once ZC will crash.

Just remember to tell players exactly which version they should use.

2.10.2 works alongside winamp. it's a good idea to just keep all the stable builds on your computer--you'll definitely need to switch back and forth between them to get the most out of the main features.
