What is most stable 2.11 or 1.92 Build 183?
Is there any known bad bugs for 2.11? Like it eats yer quest when you add a string or something.

2.10.2 is considered to be the most stable.

Hint: You can have both versions on your computer. Try them out for yourself icon_wink.gif

ANY 2.11 builds carry the risk of deleting/damaging/eating/swording, and otherwise corrupting your .qst file. They've gotten pretty tame (at least for me, that is), but keep in mind that you can't submit any quests or tilesets made in 2.11.

And I recommend 2.10.2 or 1.92b183. It's pretty much personal preference, neither one gives me any fatal bugs.

If you want a stable 2.11/2.5 beta/build, go for 2.11 beta 15 or 2.5 build 254. 254's supposed to be one of the most stable ones. I also think beta 15's real stable, unless you wanna do scripting.

See, I don't get it when people say that 254 is the most stable build. Wouldn't the latest one be more stable, simply by the fact that the latest builds have less bugs? icon_shrug.gif

Not necessarily true. Beta 15 was really good and mostly bug-free, but the next (beta 16) was terrible. icon_disgust.gif (though that was a long time ago, when Eb wasn't a member, and loser16 ((anti)hero) posted his first post... icon_deformed.gif )

And I only said that 254's supposed to be one of the most stable. icon_blah.gif

See, I came in at the 'hind end of all of these newfangled betas, so I haven't experienced the dark days of ZC betas....

The betas are actually a miserable little pile of secrets.

Anyhow, I found Beta10b to be one of the most stable versions of ZC and the most stable beta/build. I had very little problems with it and almost no bugs. With Build 254, you sacrifice some stability for more features.

In 10b, secrets don't work on layers! Most noticeable in HoD, which makes it unbeatable.

254 also takes forever to load. icon_unsettled.gif
