Demo 4.0 is currently available for download! This demo was a massive one! The sheer amount of new content caused the last few months to be full of a ton of design choices and refinements.

Firstly I started with a full refactor of all scripts. I went through each script to determine if I needed it, whether it could be improved, and essentially streamlined everything (yall can check my github to check them out if interested).
Then to transition to the next chapter of the quest was a fully scripted sequence! It took a bit of time to get it to behave as intended (and has death, f6, saving handling throughout), but I have certainly leaned how much I like making fully scripted sequences!
Next, is an entirely new overworld to explore (hence the large quantity of designs)!
Finally is the new process that I will be taking going forward with development; The Lore File. From now on dev on a new section will begin with me writing the lore of the next segment. I found that going through development this way makes everything easier. Writing the lore of say, a dungeon, essentially creates the dungeon theme, aesthetic, enemies, and boss for me AND nothing should feel out of place. As a result I now have a concrete universe lore that makes everything much more purposeful and connected throughout the game. Paying attention to smaller details and making connections will give you better insight of the characters and their connection to the greater world and even give hints of secrets and other hidden goodies.

I have been greatly inspired by the way Elden Ring was developed (and Dark Souls story telling as a whole) and think it is a fantastic way of telling a story for a game. You can choose to just play the game and enjoy the mechanics, but if you want something with that, but also some story substance, hopefully this quest will provide both!
Also the Lore File is available on my Github but WARNING!: HUUUUGE spoilers if you look in that thing, perhaps a thing to read after the game is done and you beat it if interested.

I am requiring everyone to play it from the beginning again but for good reason. All of the bosses have been touched up and improved, so I would like to see everyone's opinions of the entire thing. The next demo will have you start at the end of this demo since then it would be likely 4-5hrs+ just to get to the new stuff.

I still love this project so much and with the introduction to the Lore File I love it event more!

Anyway I hope you all enjoy the demo! Any critiques or comments are appreciated! Also, thank you all for the support and interest!
