Long time no see, everyone! After about a year and a half, we’re finally having an update. :blah:

First of all, I’d like to thank everyone for being patient with us. Lots of stuff has come up varying from updates to the site, to new jobs, to family stuff, to just being lazy and wanting to have some time to relax and watch anime and play video games. :P

But, that’s not important! I’m sure you all are here for the update! We’ve got several things to cover!

Map System

If you all remember from one of our previous updates, Fairy Dream has a completely custom subscreen for item management. Now we have a custom map system for both the overworld and dungeons.

For the overworld, it shows the entire overworld map (including side areas) and shows where Link is currently. It can show the names of the different areas, and you can scroll around the map. If you’re in a cave or house, the map will show you where you previously were on the overworld.

However, for dungeons, the map will show what rooms you’ve been to, which rooms have chests/items in them, and where the boss is. You can toggle between floors and even zoom in to allow a better view of what’s going on. We hope that this will help people out when traversing dungeons! Here’s a video of the map system in action:


Quicksand and Pegasus Boots


A new item that we created for Fairy Dream is the Pegasus Boots. Not only does the item let you move considerably faster, it also has other uses. For example, we also created a quicksand script. Basically, if you’re not using the Pegasus Boots, you’ll start sinking into the sand! Also, if you jump while using the Pegasus Boots, you’ll travel farther than normal. Updates and a New Area!


Outside of random scripts, we’ve been working on updating some things from the last demo! Some of these updates include (but are not limited to):
  • Adding the ability to skip more cutscenes.
  • You can now hit B to skip individual strings.
  • Many bugs have been fixed.
  • New Manhandla Phase 2 with its difficulty ramped up.

Lastly, here’s a new area to Fairy Dream, which we are currently calling “Christmas Cliffs” until we have an actual name. :blah:

First, we get the amazing item select subscreen and now we get to see a true map system, like in the real zelda games! This is really impressive :D
And the quicksand is a mix of skyward sword's quicksand and minish cap's swamp.

But seriously, it all looks great! You just need to beat up Nick, now.
