I need some help here. I've been toying around with PTUX for a while now and I'm drawing a blank as to what else I can do to improve the tileset. So I've decided to ask the public, "What do you think should be changed or added to the Pure Tileset?"

And I don't mean anything drastic like swapping the main palette or changing the whole style to SD3 graphics or anything like that. I just want to improve upon what's already there.

Want to be specific with what's wrong with the DoR tiles and how it would hurt? (Other than the fact that you don't like them)

Aside from the fact that I don't like the way the edits look, the mountains and trees are in LttP perspective, while most of PTUX is Gameboy (although some stuff is from LttP).

Oh, and the DoR tiles use too many browns.

Anyway, my goal is not to turn this into a different tileset, so I'd like to know what specific things that DFW thinks I should grab from DoR, and I want it to be clear that I don't intend to replace the Pure mountains and trees. I can add more things, but not those that clash with the style or perspective.

MC has a very different style, but I think there's a few things that'll work. Maybe statues from dungeons. I already grabbed the little mushrooms from MC, 'cause the ones in PTUX are kinda' ugly.

I'm going to grab the extended rooftops. What other building structures did you have in mind?

In that case, can you name some more town things that I should make?


Here's a shot of mostly new stuff:

(Note: This isn't everything I've done. This is what I did today.)

For starters, there's my attempt at potted flowers. The interior corner for the roof is new, I added them for both of the LttP style roofs. I fixed the doorway so the lower part is no longer cut off, and I edited the stones in front of the door so they don't look flat. I ripped the new pavement from Pokemon Emerald as an alternative to the one from Sun Tower (which was ripped from Pokemon Sapphire).

I'd like people's opinions on these next two: Do you like the new bush undercombo tile (from Four Swords)? And do you like my custom OoT style Hookshot?

All the mini tiles on the subsreen are custom too. I don't suppose anyone has a problem with those, unless someone has a beef with white-outlined hearts or something like that...

I wish I'd get more suggestions here. How about non-overworld things that need improvement? Dungeons? Sprites?

Hookshot=Instant KO. It's really good.
I'm not so hot on the bush undercombos, though. Maybe if they were a little less square....?
Everything else is a useful addition, but not really astounding. Although, I may rip those path tiles.

As for other tiles... I always thought that DoR was superior to Pure because it had a better forest look. I know that you don't like DoR, but maybe you should improve the existing Pure forest tiles.

yes the undercombs of the bushes don't look great (too square)(and was also used if you burnd the bush so as a sword undercombo no but as a burn undercombo yes)

Also the hookshot is great

I don't know if thiss has been sugested but Minsh cap Dugon tiles for Dugones
