At 8-3  I'm at the gombas room and I'm stuck so what should i do from here?  do i use whistle or  something?

I just started playing this, and I am confused by something that happened immediately. The very first thing I did was drop a bomb. Something exploded and there was this message: "Something has gone wrong with the music..." That's a really weird thing to put at the beginning of the quest, seeing as how there is no explanation of what it means and I completely did it by accident in the first few seconds of playing. Does anyone know what this is? Should I just ignore and keep going?

Do you remember that goomba you fed with golden mushroom in 8-1?
The same thing here. Find the golden mushroom and use it in the room with goombas. You should get boss key for hidden boss door that leads to Dracula.

Congratulations! You have found old beta musical soundtrack that was used to be main music for most quest development process. If you don`t like that music, restart the quest from scratch and avoid bombing the statue.

to reflect that it's an Easter Egg, and also, to allow re-bombing, or put another trigger there, to set it back. In fact, bombing to make a lever-type switch (tiered secret, with permanency FFC), that would toggle between the two, would be rather neat.

Thanks. I was using today's 5:38 a.m. update. I downloaded it again, and it still doesn't work.

NVM I did some contortions and was able to go down after all. Sorry for bothering you.

Sorry, for double post.
The quest has been updated to v1.1
Aside from a couple of bugfixes, I have improved aesthetics of portals in 3-1, 6-1 and 6-3. Also added hidden soundtrack, full of CV music. Can you find it? Yes, once the secret at the begginning is activated, all MIDI`s will be replaced with CV music.

That explains it! I must have been accidentally triggering it when I first tried this quest as I didn't figure out how to use anything except the subweapon because everything is unequipped except the subweapon when you start... which is unintuitive as heck!

Also I should clarify that I'm using 2.50.1, as the quest description said that's what version it was tested in.

Are you sure you're meant to go that way? Maybe you come back from the other side of that particular door?

Nope, that wasn't the case. When I got back to the door, I fiddled with it, and apparently jumping into it unlocked the door. So we got ourselves a finicky door here; I don't remember the mid-level door in a previous stage having that issue.
