according to DN the next full version of ZC(after 2.5) will be 2.7 or 2.9, then 3.0 will be a total re-write of the program in a new library.

So basically, 3.0 will have an even longer wait than 2.5. Wow. With all the new features 2.5 has, it should be called 2.7.
