Newest version? Wouldn't it help if there was a pinned topic with a version list/ links?

You've got to be kidding me, because there is.

Ahem. Beta 15 is also one of the best builds, imo. icon_glare.gif

You might want to just play around with the builds and not make a quest with them until they release a stable version. Otherwise they might change something and it will mess up your quest.

yep, freeform combos from older betas (at a certain point) are screwed in the new builds due to various changes. beta 18 is indeed incredibly stable, i've been playing a fair few quests in the latest builds in the past month and they all played pretty much without a hitch icon_biggrin.gif

Isn't beta 18 not out yet?

I thought it was what they were going to call the current beta once it was finished?

it has been out for ages, the beta # is just the major number in the version and the build # is the minor number in the version.

Aye. Each one of them is basically Beta 17, but each successive build is slightly different from the previous one, and we're to be testing the differences, and gradually improving upon it through brute force testing. (As if we haven't already.) This method is just more manageable because the differences between each version are easier to handle because the versions are so similar.

Yah, I got that part, but

If each of them is Beta 17, then surely Beta 18 isn't out?

I am pretty sure once the last remaining bugs are worked out of the current alpha builds, the resulting build will be called beta 18. So technically, it's not out yet (at least not to my knowledge).

It's an alpha build of beta 18, just like beta 18 is a beta build of 2.50.

So, basically, you're ironing out the major bugs in "alpha 18" and then going to release another version, "beta 18" that will then become version 2.5. Am I getting it?
