As the topic suggests, I'm trying to figure out how much people rely on the L and R buttons to cycle through their inventory in ZC? When considering this question assume that the L and R buttons are being given different, new functionality, but will no longer cycle through the inventory? How would you feel about that?

I always use them to cycle, but if new functionality was added to those buttons I could live without them.

There ARE L and R buttons in ZC? I heard about them, but... I never remember cycling through items with th keyboard... Even if I knew it was possible, I would use the inventory screen. Plus, assigning read/talk (Or even roll!) to buttons other than A or B would be really great.

Can't live without them, even though I always scroll through the items in the wrong direction.

I can't live without 'em, either - one of the best player-friendly features in ZC (like the map viewer and cheat codes )

Can't live without them, I use them a LOT. Also like how Mr. z mentioned, I usually go the wrong way with them (unless it's bombs to boomerangs or back).

however if were able to trade them in for Link running/charging like in LTTP, that would be awesome!

Use em all the time to cycle items.

I never use them. I just blow at item-cycling.

Well, I have used them before, but I never got used to them. I'm more of the Pause/select item guy, myself.

I'm in the same boat as Mr. Z. If convenient, I'd use 'em. I used them very often in Lost Isle, but I'd often mess up and use up a Medicine. (SUUUUUCKED!!! X x. )

But yeah, if you want to use them for something else, it'd be cool to take it for your own uses.

It'd ALSO Be nice if we could get even MORE buttons for ZC though. No sense in having to take over two fully functional buttons when you could just make more. Buttons used SPECIFICALLY For scripted functions, and nothing else.

I use the L and R if I can, but I pause the game if there's enemies around me. One problem I have though, is accidently selecting Super Bombs and killing myself.

L and R nearly defeated the purpose of the subscreen, but I can't live without them. I couldn't stand hopping to the subscreen every 5 minutes.
