Perhaps this is ill-thought-out, given I'm at the start of my second semester of my Masters, I've got a few side-projects going already, I only just showed back up on PZC and have missed a fair bit in terms of new features, and I've been sitting at the finish line of An Item Fantasy for a few years (...I'm pretty sure it's coming up on 10 years in development), but I'm kind of feeling the itch to make a little quest. Only, given all of those things, probably nothing very big.

 

So, yeah, I'm proposing that a handful of people (maybe 2-5 co-conspirators) make a dungeon each and a bit of an overworld, and we call that a quest. Probably an open-world, dungeons-in-any-order type deal, plus a final dungeon (which could be done collaboratively or otherwise). Maybe a fun little story and a couple custom music tracks too. Something a little like the One Screen Massacre that is sadly basically dead.

I'd probably take the 'manager'/'coordinator' role, though my plan was honestly just to let people do their own thing and then stitch it together at the end (with a couple things decided beforehand to make that easier lol).

Firebird would require some learning on my part - I'm most familiar with Classic-based ones (i.e. Cambria) - but it does look super nice. I'd be open for either.

I'd probably drop out if Firebird is used. Tileset looks pretty, but I find it incredibly annoying to work with.

Cambria is really good, but I think it lacks some 2.55 features built in, but that can be fixed.
