Two works in progress: a big new dungeon, and a new big Serenia.

Battle Arena of peril? Sounds like a fun work out before fighting evil forces.

I'll go for Peteo here. All shots are worthy to be here, but it is his that has an incredible amount of detail--from the shading, to the colors, to the patterning, to actual details in the ground itself.

I like them all but the only one that still catches my eye is Jonathans.

I voted for Jonathan. It's the most unique and has the nicest colors.

I agree with mighty darknut. The others are great too, but just don't stand out like Jonathan's does.

Voted for Peteo. Come on, you know that I love the ruined castle tiles.

Others are also good, especially Radien's.

Peteo's just looks the most "fluid" in my eyes. The other shots are very good but the castle just looks really appealing.

Peteo:

Ah, revisiting your shot, I'm reminded of how great the tiles are.

But I also am reminded that absolutely nothing is going on in this shot. It's excellent for advertising a tileset, but not so good for advertising a playable quest.

Jonathan:

A bit overrated in my opinion. I don't like the palette much, and the light from the window just doesn't look right. Plus it looks like yet another cut scene or actionless shot.

Me:

I've seen this screen so many times I can't judge it anymore.

ZC Ninja:

On par with the others in a lot of ways, but this is the only shot that doesn't use its tiles correctly, which is a big difference.

Null voted, though I'm glad to see Peteo's winning if I'm not.

I agree that all the shots that are here deserve to be here. My vote goes to Peteo. I like to think of it as perfection to imperfection.

I actually like Radien's best. It shows some gameplay, AND eyecandy.

overated?il agree with that but i also have to say the same about yours
its not my ention to make you like the palette, the light is from lightning which flashes twice every 40 seconds and the rest of the time all ya see is rain outside them, and where did you get the idea that it was a cutscene?i havnt enterd a shot of a cutscene yet.

id vote for petoe but im enterd so il null

Here are my comments. I am null voting here. Intense criticism ahead.

Peteo: While the graphical design is tolerable, the red railings clash with the purple floor and walls. The railings also look unusual in how they seem to hover over the wall, rather than being a boarder for it.

Jonathan: The vampires in the shot look terrible because of their white outline. The coloring of whatever is on the top corners of the room is bad. Most importantly, the room looks very out of perspective, especially around the sides and the top. It looks as if you're pearing into the room through a giant, strangely detailed hole.

Radien: The new Serenia doesn't have the same feel as the smaller one - it just doesn't look right. It might be because of the lack of shadows. I might add that the big Link idea was a stupid thing to implement into ZC - my reasoning being that the enemies are still going to all be the same size. It looks as if the character is towering over every enemy, and just messes up the perspective in general.. The dungeon floor is all right, albeit a little too shiny-looking, but the walls look kind of bland.

ZC-Ninja: The coloring of the red tent is terrible, it has a candy cane like look to it. The arena iteelf has tile problems with the nearby tree, just below the top-right corner of it. The tall grass has an ugly black top, and is seemingly jutting out of the ground in one place. It just looks unnatural.
