I personally don't like either of those that you suggested, Zemious, and I love the ML lava. I'm sticking with that.
The only other lava that I'd possibly use is the orange version of the aLttP lava that Exate used in Metroid XL Remake, only because the red and yellow looks kind of weird.
I'll most likely keep the lava exactly how it is in that shot though.

And yes, the goo in the shot is lava. It's an overworld shot of a twisted planet (it's a TLD shot BTW).

Gashin gets my vote. Honestly, the shots were good this week. It is just Gashin's has so much eye candy and detail that it is hard to pass up.

Whoah, underwater rock formations!... I like your water a lot more now. But I still think it's a bit too dark and pale.

I've been wanting to do something like this in DoR, but I have to figure out how to manage it with my overworld palette. Dungeon water is easier to work with, though, since it gets most of a whole CSet of blues. I'll show that in my next entry.

Radien:
This shot has a very nice layout, but the colors are very bland. I can also see that you went back to the small Serenia tiles. I suggest making the fortress a more redish, or goldish color palettes permitting of course.

In the SOTW 124 thread, I said that I would probably use little Serenia in screenshots until I have made a lot more progress on the big tiles. I am in no hurry, because Big Link is still "unpurfeckted" in ZC 2.11, and when I say that I'm including a lack of big enemies.

All screens are good and Gashin's screen is a bit overated. It would be just a decent shot without those nice palm trees. I wonder why there's so little love for Radien's screen.

There wasn't really a shot that spoke out to me today--Gashin's colors were a bit odd, Mighty Darknut had nice sprites but little else, Radien's was very plain color-wise, and Revfan9's was plain out bizarre!--so I voted for the one I felt would make the coolest location in a quest: Radien's.

actually, I just checked again, and SotM 31 will be this week, while 32 will, as you said won't be for another three weeks (assuming I get another submission today)

and checking again, SotM 31 was supposed to be posted LAST week, so SotM 32 will be TWO weeks after this
