Last time I did that, the universe blew up.
No problems with the build so far. WinXP.

So is there an estimated release date for us (being pretty much just me) mac users?

Is April first the right date to post this? Gosh I hope this isn't a prank

Good to see the new build. I have already downloaded and took a quick look at it and it looks good so far.
Now to confirm some bug fixes.

Definitely looks like it's worth a download.
(Though I agree with Keichii, pretty risky business posting it on April the 1st. )

Is it better to use this one, or the build I'm already using?
I think i misunderstood some posts.

Guys, it's ... really honestly truly not a prank. O.o This is coming from someone who both has a lot of respect for Zelda Classic and a complete and total lack of respect for April Fools day. Getting pranked sucks, and pranking someone with Zelda Classic 2.5's potential release sucks even worse.
Be glad that it's real. Also, do note that I'm not saying this on April 1st...

Probably as high as it'll go. You could try bringing it down from there one step at a time and see what it takes.
So is there an estimated release date for us (being pretty much just me) mac users?
I'm afraid I have no idea.

I kinda question the notion that 2.50 will be released when no bugs are found, despite the fact that every single build you will ever crank out will have minor bugs and problems regardless. Where is the line drawn for the release candidate stage to end and the final release to be made?

A bug I came across is that when saving a quest after auto loading it from start (through load last saved) it'll treat it as a 'Save As' instead of just saving it. I haven't tried it with opening a quest after opening ZQuest though. Unsure if it's been reported, so I figured I may as well post it here.

I was orignaly going to make my 401st post in my Diamond Quest thread, but I am so frustrated with a bug with this that I decided to make this post here. Anyway, ZQuest crashes when it does a timed save on this beta. Please fix it, along with the bug that Blamam Spaceman Dan posted, ASAP.

While we're going through bugs, I still get the screen freezing bug: Leaving ZQ behind another window while in windowed mode (for example, taking a break to check a website) will occasionally cause ZQ's display to freeze. Everything underneath still works, as you can still save and quit by pressing Esc->Enter->Enter. Leaving it under for longer periods makes the big more likely to occur. This probably happens with the player too, but I haven't seen it happen yet.
