Limzo, did you by any chance take note how high (in KHz) you could hear?

No, but it was pretty high. I think it was somewhere around 20ish, but the markings on the machine are a bit scratched away. Lol, it says "Anflilucle" instead of "Amplitude". icon_kawaii.gif

The first one was kinda loud, the second one was kinda annoying, the third one was actually kinda relaxing to me.

Actually, Im not sure of the age factor. Just months shy of 30, I heard all three perfectly, and now have a splitting headache, no joke, and my pregnant cat went RUNNING from the room. Maybe Ill try to take some video of it later, tho I dont want any unborn kittie feti exploding all over the living room; theyre a ***** to get out of carpet, LOL.

Must be a mutant too. I was able to hear all of them and wasn't effected by any of them.

This is ultra cool! Please, I implore you, visit this site!

It has most major frequencies to test your hearing. I couldn't hear anything after 17.7, but they still made my head hurt. It's uber cool.

Edit: I'm sorry. I didn't have my speaker turned up. icon_redface.gif I can hear up to 21.1.

I could hear up to the 19.9kHz frequency clearly, and could barely hear the 21.1 kHz frequency. Anything beyond that I'm afraid I couldn't detect.

Well, the reason is, there is no sound file for 22.4. At the near bottom of the page, you can bubble in your test result to get a nifty HTML code that tells you what you got. When I did it for 22.4 (for kicks and grins) I got "You are a liar! You claimed to be able to hear a tone that contained absolutely no sound!" icon_xd.gif

...Just a random question, but did anyone else have to go to the bathroom shortly after hearing that?

Anyhow. I could hear all 3 of them, although I wish I couldn't. It flippin' blasted out my ears. icon_sweat.gif

I was all ears on this one, but otherwise, I would've liked hearing the 22.4kHz one to see how high I could go.

I could hear all of them VERY clearly... does that mean I'm a mutant?

I guess we're both mutants then. icon_frown.gif I'll join the PZC-Men too!

As far as the site Ebola gave, I could hear easily up to 18.8, and slightly 19.9. Guess it's a sign that I'm getting older. icon_razz.gif

Note: Whee for not noticing a previous joke and making it again. icon_razz.gif

14 I could hear very easily even with the volume almost all the way down. It certainly was annoying.

17 and 18 were much quieter and I could only hear them when I turned the volume all the way up, making a buzzing sound that I didn't mind at all.

So my results seemed most like that of Evan the great.

Uh... I think that was your speakers making noise. icon_razz.gif Speakers sometimes make a buzzing sound when they're turned up too loud. 17 and 18 sound just like 14, just a different pitch. icon_wink.gif

Goes to show that I never crank my speakers all the way up (except maybe that time). In other words, I couldn't hear 17 and 18 at all then. Not even a slight hint of it.

Yeah, I heard 21.1 fine from their site, but it sounded lower than my 18KHz.

Here's a 20KHz one:
http://h1.ripway.com...pa/stuff/20.wav
Note that it's WAV because MP3 apparently doesn't do such high frequencies properly. With headphones and the volume up I can just about hear it ... and feel it. Ouch.
