On food...

If you're looking to create a lot of food and you happen to see a Blood Moon rising, make your way to a cooking pot and start cooking at 11:30 PM. You'll get guaranteed bonuses to all food.

You have no carry limit for armour pieces and materials. There is a carry limit for weapons, bows, shields, and a 3 page limit for cooked items.

Disappointment is finding a new tower, beating its guardian Wizzrobe and then realizing you don't have enough stamina to climb it. Finally got some armor though.

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, or I just haven't learned the game's combat system yet, but I've stumbled across two "Minor Tests of Strength" and died horribly to both. Of course, I didn't have armor then. At least the game saves previously visited shrines so I can return if I want.

 

So far, I haven't even bothered with the Korok seeds except for a couple I found by accident. I'm currently wandering somewhere west of the starting area, seeking new stuff to explore.

The trick to those is mastering the Flurry Rush system, honestly. If they're wielding a spear or short sword, jump to the side. If it's an axe, backflip. They give you plenty of warning so you can prepare to get out of the way in time. But yeah, if they do get hits on you, they'll hurt at lower armors.

Boss Keys is... good and bad. Great at analyzing the linearity of exploration (or lack of it), but that doesn't tell you anything about the quality of the puzzles themselves.

I've completed over sixty shrines now and I've hit every tower. I also accidentally found the Master Sword and got that which was pretty whacky. Haha. I've just been exploring for now and I haven't really continued with the story since completing the Zora arc, so I was not expecting that of all things to fall into my hands. Nevertheless, cool stuff! I finally started working on the Gerudo arc last night and so far so good. The obligatory stealth challenge was annoying but I made it through without too much trouble!

Just beat the Yiga Clan Leader.

It's a pretty lame battle. Waterblight and Windblight were hard than him. Heck, the Yiga Clan guards are tougher than him!

I've run into I think 3 of those clan members and beaten one. Are they just random spawns or do they always show up wherever you meet them?

 

I've also tried my luck at a certain technique which has met with mixed results...

I don't know if this qualifies as a spoiler or not, but I found that you can basically cross nearly any length of water by continuously making Cryonis pillars. I reached at least one shrine this way and tried my luck at a river where I died to too hard enemies.

 

I still don't have a horse, mostly because I haven't bothered.

I think the Yiga do have set spawn points but it certainly does seem random.

 

Also that's definitely not a spoiler, that's an intended method. This game is very versatile.

On the Yiga Clan:

I'm not sure if I commented on this yet, but the Yiga clan definitely feel like a nod to the NPCs who would turn into enemies in Zelda II. If you talk to an NPC, and their name is "Traveler", get ready. I actually like the Yiga clan as a whole. It was a neat concept, and it was cool that they showed that not all Sheikah are good. Makes me wonder if they are some how the ones who would have made the Shadow Temple in another time. The guards in their keep even say, "Beware of the Eye of the Yiga, fool!" or something like that. Also, I did that area close to last, so I was able to brute force it, but it was not easy.

 

On Cryonis:

You can also climb waterfalls with it, if you don't have the item that helps you do so, but it is s l o w w w

 

Here's a question for you all: What order did you do that main dungeons in?

I did Ruta, The Goron one, Naboris, then Medoh last, but I kind bounced between the Gurudo, and Rito arcs.
