Been a while since I last checked, but it seems there's been a couple changes ever since Sky changed again:

NOW:
I love how the Ping just suddenly skyrocketed and my upload speed lowered lol

Recently changed to a better internet provider. Bye to Sky Broadband, hello to Virgin Media!
This is much better than before.

This was before moving. Then we moved about a month and a half ago, but I never saved a speedtest result because I was depressed at how terrible 2mbps download speed is. But today we finally upgraded:
And it's better download speed than the old house, which is nice. Old ping was better but it's not by much. I'm satisfied.

I recently got a new cable modem because I was sick of Comcast charging $10 a month to rent one (highway robbery, man..)
In doing so, I doubled my internet speed, so there's that.
Still wish Comcast didn't gimp upload speeds so much. It makes streaming a pain.

thepsynergist, I wish I could tell you how much I can relate to that right now. My Comcastic router/gateway is shitting the bed, so I'm paying over $80 a month for 105mbps and getting this:

How is that even possible? I almost wonder if that could be an FCC violation...
I'd call Comcast and see what's going on. I live about 40 min from the hub, and I still get what I pay for.

Yeah, I finally called them yesterday after a couple weeks of increasingly bad internet speeds, and they've determined that we need to replace our router. I suspect there's more than that going on, but I'm gonna take it one step at a time.

If you're using a router, did you try plugging the main internet cord to your computer, rather than use the router, just to test to see if that was the main issue? At least that way you could prove if they're lying or not (though, I plan on getting a new router as well anyway, I just wonder about the honesty of that company. >.>)
