I'm almost done with my first quest (in version 2.10)!  However, I've run across a couple problems that I don't know how to fix:

1. Not a super-big issue, but after I added a couple  warp rings to my quest, I went back with the existing save file to try and playtest it, but when I went in the first warp, it just spit me back out of it.  It just so happened that that warp was the first one listed in the warp ring, but still, I don't get why it wouldn't work.  After getting through another save file up to that point, it worked, so I'm a bit baffled.  Do warp rings only load the first time a quest is loaded or something??

2. For my second warp ring, all except the first warp are blocked off by permanent triggers only accessible once going through the first warp.  The problem is that, when I went through the warp ring for the first time, all the permanent triggers had been triggered without me stepping on them.  I had checked prior; they weren't triggered when I approached from the outside.

- For all the warps, I used "Cave-Walk Down" combos, so I'm not sure if that affects where Link steps.

- The permanent triggers are not located directly below the cave warp exit.  I had placed them to the left/right of the cave by one combo and below one or two combos.

I went ahead and tried to fix this by placing the trigger further from the warp exit cave, but I still have to playtest the whole darn quest before I can test this again. You could help by answering this question: Can Link trigger step triggers when he walks up out of a cave?

3. Here's one that irks me a little, but I think it might be reasonable: I wanted to use a third 3-stair warp in a "Cave/Interior"-type DMap.  I tried setting 'R' to "3-Stair Warp" and setting 'A' to the correct warp ring number, while leaving the Tile Warp as default ("Cave/Item Room"), but it didn't work.

(a) Do I have to have an "Overworld"-type DMap in order to use 3-Stair Warps?

(b) Since this is my first quest, I've limited myself to version 2.10; as such, I can only have one tile warp per room, so I can't just artificially make a 3-Stair Warp room.  Unless you have any other ideas, the only other solution I could think of is to have specific warps lead to specific other warp caves, so that the one you come out of (if you go back in it) leads to the next one on the list.  I'm not sure if that makes sense, so here's an illustration:

Screen 1: cave warps to Screen 2

Screen 2: cave warps to Screen 3

Screen 3: cave warps to Screen 4

Screen 4: cave warps to Screen 1

So, do you have any other solutions to this problem, or does this sound like a good idea?

Wow!  I guess everyone else is just as baffled by this as I am.  :?  Oh well.  I guess my quest can continue without knowing these things.
