Death knights really aren't as bad as some say they are. If you have the right items, they really aren't hard at all. Red or Gold tunic, Master Sword, Nayru's Love, and maybe a potion is all you really need.

Hammers are nice, too.

Actually, I just found out that all you need is a wooden sword, nayru's love, and enough magic to kill 10 death knights. It really isn't very hard.

I'm guessing he means if Farore's wind is useable, and it is. All 3 Goddess spells are useable in 2.10

All 3 Goddess Stones have existed since the 1.92 eras
Anyway, there's no way anyone has enough magic to defeat 10 darknuts with just a wooden sword Really, until I've seen it done, I won't believe it can be.

Death Knights are, IMO, the hardest enemy in ZC mainly because of their sheer speed. At least a Mirror-Robe is slow and you can avoid it if you keep your distance and watch what direction it's facing.
Here's some screenshots of the way I use the almighty Death Knight in Level 4 of my quest Molka Elite.
YES, I found the wand! But... which is the real one? Hmm... I bet this red one. *grabs*
Wrongomundo, Linky boy! Smithers release thehounds Death Knights! *link dies*
YES, I found the Boss Key! I am the MAN! *grabs*
That's what you get for touching my fake key, bee-otch. Smithers release thehounds Death Knights. *link != alive*
A third example I haven't made yet, but will have by the time I'm finished with Level 6, which is a desert dungeon... The boss is a Sphinx statue which challenges you to a mind game. You have to hit the buttons in the order he hits them to damage him. It's played almost exactly like Simon, the only difference being the sequence is different each time instead of being the same one with something added to it. So where do Death Knights come into play in this boss? Easy. Hit the buttons in the wrong order and FOUR of them swarm you from the four corners of the screen. (BTW you have the White Sword at this point.)
I'm thinking I can even make it tougher by putting a time limit for each button press using combo cycling.
That's how yer ol' Uncle Schwa uses the Death Knight.
