Either way, it's fixed.

Man, that Mines battle sucks now without the L3 sword for some range. That and it looks like bombs don't even damage the darknuts (only stuns them at best).
Some notes:
When going to Deku Tree at start, lightning effects are odd, almost looks like game freezing for a moment, but action continuing.
After beating groups of mushrooms, skips fight with big mushroom in mushroom hideout. Also happens with the Dam battle where skips needing to shoot the tektite.
3:01 to 9:32 connection negates need to go through maze path. Also not clear on pegasus boot path on 3:00 and 3:10 given whirlpool shortcut. A few options:
- remove whirlpools
- keep whirlpool shortcut there given how difficult the path to Dream City will be otherwise (limited heats, lyonels, rocks)
- could put blockade around whirlpool, having to go the long way once to hit a switch to open up the whirlpool shortcut.
17:57 – door automatically opens. No need to know about hitting enemy in torch in this case. Also happens in the Gallery. This may be the case with any such enemy in a torch, chest, etc. Also happens in the Crypt = quick path to hammer/axe

We can probably do this with all of the whirlpools. Very tempting to do this. It encourages exploration of the overworld, if there are no whirlpools at all in the Dam when you first get the Flippers, until you start activating them by entering their matching whirlpools outside of the dam. What do you think?
EDIT: Bug-fixes.

The Mines boss is rather hard with no blue mail and just a L2 sword. It's actually the 2nd phase that can really hurt (8 blue darknuts). Maybe make the phases as follows:
- 4 blue darknuts
- 4 blue + 4 red darknuts
- 4 super darknuts (more manageable than 8 blue darknuts as long as you don't get cornered)
Luckily can still get L3 boomerang fairly early on. Trying to go through this without L3 sword (until after getting titan mitt from Tower). L4 sword would be at least after pegasus boots. L4 armor not sure what you want required for that.
I have some thoughts on that, ranging from somewhat stringent to having to wait until very late in the game on some of this stuff

1) Wooden - You start with this one.
2) Magic - Many shops sell this.
3) A shop above Elf Cave sells this one. It can stun bubbles.
4) Fire Boomerang - In Excavation.
By the way guys, just so we're all on the same page, Please try to post in this thread and leave this one alone. It stays coherent this way.
EDIT: (Well into the future of this post) - The new download link is here. This is valid as of February 2014.

There are now four levels of Boomerangs, though I may eventually remove the third one; its use isn't properly planned.

I can vouch that the download is still valid as of today (June 4th, 2014) as I just downloaded it

Oh, hi! The quest file is kicking around in my Dropbox here. It might be for version 2.50.2 but I honestly don't remember. If it opens at all, it'll likely work.
It's got all of the most recent bug-fixes and everything, as well as a new area in northern-central Hyrule Overworld that gives you a very nice prize, though you need the hammer and ladder for it, as well as a super bomb to get in, and maybe the red candle.
I think the only real issue is that the final area might not be beatable. It's an -incredibly- technologically complex area, and I don't think the boss re-fights are working. I can probably provide a work-around for that just in case though. I can do that at some point in the near future.
For now, though, please continue this line of conversation in this thread here. Having two threads for the same thing feels kind of redundant. I'm going to ask that this thread be locked, and I'll put that link in the first post of this thread too.
