Am I the only one that didn't the Melancholy was that fantastic of a series? 
For the most part, people like it because it's different, not because of its actual quality, which isn't that much better than other series. Don't get me wrong, it's a great series, but not that great. There were some parts of the series that were flat out boring. 
Buuuuuuut, anyway, that has nothing to do with this.
The song was great, and it's definitely become a hit for anime conventions from the clips that I've seen, so I'm not surprised to see this. The best parts were seeing some of the people that looked as if they had absolutely no clue what the were doing.
