Millenia ago, there was a war between monsters and Hylians. The leader of the army of monsters was the Demon Lord, Xalidius. This war lasted years, before finally, the goddess Hylia intervened, sealing the Demon King away forever. However, the people of the land still fought against the monsters, and the monsters struck back viciously. This Cold War between monsters and Hylians lasted centuries. One morning, about a decade before the start of the game's events, an 8 year old boy known as Beta went out for a stroll. He noticed a young aquamentus clinging on a cliff for dear life. Ignoring his people's past, he went out and saved the aquamentus' life. After thanking him, the aquamentus introduced itself as Alpha. The two quickly became great friends, and helped bring together an end to the Cold War. 9 years later, the 2 friends had a falling out, and Alpha departed, bitterly. One morning, 1 year after their falling out, Beta awakes from a weird dream to chaos: His village being attacked by monsters. The villagers of said village manage to barely drive off the monsters, but not before the monsters destroy their town. However, as the monsters retreat, Beta notices a figure far away, commanding the battlefield: Alpha. Beta confronts Alpha, where Alpha declares he is invincible due to his ownership of the Moon Pearl, a dark crystal said to contain incredible evil magic. Alpha quickly defeats Beta, leaving him to die. Beta is brought to the cities ruined health center by the survivors of the attack. The villagers alert the king of hyrule, who declares war against the monsters. The king recruits Beta into the army to drive off the monsters, but Beta, furious with rage, has only one thing in mind: Revenge. He sets off to find the 8 Gamma Shards that are required to power the Omega Cannon, a legendary weapon said to be the only weakness of the Moon Pearl. And that's where our story begins...

I looked up twilight just to see how bad the story was. From what I have seen, it's very cliché and the writer should feel bad.
