Hello. I was playing around in Zquest, and when I was testing an opening sequence, the strings wouldn't show up. I think it has something to do with the timed warp tics, since I just started using them. I also made sure that the layers weren't covering where words would go. If it helps, here's the qst file.

I think its the DMap rule Special Rooms and strings are in Caves Only. Or something like that.

The DMap is a cave, though.

The cave room is referring to a specific screen though. The bottom most left one. So if the overworld looks like a cave it makes no difference. Just uncheck that rule.

Nevermind. I forgot that you needed a guy for a string to work.
Now where's that smiley that slaps its forehead?

I asked that about a few weeks ago. DarkDragon should knock that option off.

Make sure you have a level number higher than 0 aswell, for future reference.

Thats easy you need the Dmap level to 1 or over it dosn't matter if the maps an overworld or dungeon also a guy has to be in the room then set the string keep in mind the string can be attached to one string to another to other message strings..whatever you do dont loop them or you cant leave the room.
