When shooting to the side, it faces up

Did you put the directions in the order up, down, left, right?

when I swing before it's gone it shifts to the next 4-frame animation.

What do you mean by this?
And how many sword beams is it possible to have on the screen at a time?

I put the tiles in groups of 4 like this: UUUUDDDDLLLLRRRR. The weapon sprite is set to U1, 4 frames, 2 speed. The sword beam sprite is set to that sprite. When I swing my sword while a sword beam is onscreen, the existing beam shifts to a different direction. Oh, and I have the original problem (can't point left/right on shooting), too.

Right, I'll get a working version of this script up when I have some time.

That's a pity. Take your time, but don't hate ZC icon_razz.gif

Ohhhh I don't hate it really, it's like a love-hate relationship. I hate the internal code it's horrible.

If I had a spare few years than I would re-organise 2.5's current code base to be readable.

Well, at least now when ZC 3.0 is coming out, the ZC devs will know what not to do! lol

Add this to the ZQ wishlist: the ability to set anim. frames of all misc sprites...including enemy death and spawn.
