Well Joe and ST, I hope that someday when you're building a new huge quest with these new builds, our brilliant developer Mr. _L_ goes and changes something big. Like, for example freeform combos or anything like that and says "oh btw freeform combos created in the earlier builds don't work anymore, you hjave to create them all from scratch again. Sorry but you were warned! K thanx bye!" then let's see how YOU would react...

I can see you're still stinging from _L_'s little enemy editor/freeform combo changing. I seriously doubt he'll do something like that again. At least, not before 2.5 is released.

Well can you blame me? The guy has given me so much grey hair... icon_frown.gif
First the enemy editor change... Lost Isle would have been ruined if Dark Nation wasn't kind enough to come and save the day with a LI specific build. And recently I heard about the freeform combo change... which means that there will never be a 2.5 version of Lost Isle, and after putting so much work in the quest of course I'm furious and bitter etc.

But I can understand I'm starting to repeat myself so I'll stop here because I've never gotten any sympathy and I guess I never will.

Well obviously I cannot count on the developers anymore, but let's hope that they will not make any drastic changes as you said. The good thing is that I fooled around with build 813 and it seems pretty damn stable and cool, so I guess I will be once again contributing by reporting ZC bugs if I encounter any... hopefully I get my quest design motivation back too.

Actually, the first time I saw one of your posts was in the topic where you started chewing out _L_ for the enemy editor. It was also the first time I heard about Lost Isle. So, I was amazed and amused at the same time. icon_razz.gif

Woah! Lost Isle would've been lost had not DN stepped in?? Thank you, DarkNation!

And I've had a quest crash on me losing about a weeks worth of work and almost all my motivation. I can't imagine what losing an entire game would do! icon_sorry.gif

Hope to see you making some more quests, Peteo! icon_wink.gif icon_thumbsup.gif

Actually, only the custom enemies would have been broken.

I wish we had more import/export features pertaining to individual enemies, and entire enemy templates. (With the ability to 'neglect' setting the tiles along the way, in case you're only importing enemy stats and features.)

That, and the ability to make a duplicate of an entire custom subscreen right next to a pre-existing one, so you can change one thing without having to rebuild it. I don't know if that feature exists already.

ShadowTiger: You can make duplicates of Custom Subscreens, all you have to do is export the Subscreen, then you can import it into an empty slot, or over the default one etc.

I also worry about such changes. Also, there are many good ideas that require these. That's the limit of ZC developing(not quest developing). I also don't mind downloading new betas to play quest, because I already download them to build my quest on. I had only 1 extreme terrorisizing bug that screwed up my quest, but that's all. And that was also very long ago. So no problem anymore.
