Wow, it's been like a month without any posts here! Let's change that.

 

 

"The first piece of the puzzle..."

Perspective is off. Do you see how link looks to be laying on his belly? or how the trees look as if their looking up Or crawling up the wall?

Those wall are meant for top down, while the rest is for top back view.

 

Actually if you were to remove the trees from the bridge, it would look as if link was climbing a fortress.

Thanks for the feedback. I tried out some different things with the floor on the upper parts of the walls and ended up with this:

I like this. Soft colors and improved perspective

 

 

Oh, have I missed DoR!

DoR is nice, but the repetitive dirt tiles need a few variations. Nor am I fan fan of DoR palette

Gameboy perspective looks fine to me? Most objects follow Link and the tree's perspective. It's just the walls follow this perspective since the first game to display the types of door. It's never been a problem honestly.

Ive been doing some experimenting with BS the past couple days. I remembered that the BS tileset comes with a Z1 clone, so I decided to go and do some editing to revamp the 1st quest. Ive added a couple items and expanded on the tiles, importing some decorative tiles from PTUX (bushes, grass, etc.)

 

Here's a couple shots of the original 1st quest in the BS set:

When I click that link, it redirects me to the homepage of that website. In my experience, Imgur is more reliable - but in general it's best to use a hosting service that allows you to link directly to the image.

Sheik, well designed placements, and lighting. But the stump really conflits with the perspective of the screen.  I am sure you can masterfuly edit that.

the trick I found was draw an oval not circle
