I'm not sure which forum this belongs in, but we'll start it here. If it needs to be moved, let me know, and I'll re-post where it belongs:
Okay, for those of you who do not know, I just bought a new computer yesterday. It has Windows Vista Home Premium on it, and I have not yet decided (even though ya'll keep telling me to) if I want to go through all the trouble of finding Windows XP, getting rid of Vista, and installing XP (a process, I hear, that can take several days).
So, this morning I decided to experiment. I played around with with both the editor and the game. I am pleased to report that there are no problems when using the Editor. It goes full screen without any distortion to the color, there was no sound distortion, nothing. It was like using it with Windows XP.
Playing the game is a different story. All the controls work, and the sound is fine, but it loads in a tiny window. I mean, so small I have to squint to see Link. If you try to window it in full screen, it still comes up small with a lot of empty black space around it. I don't know if this is a Vista problem or a programing problem, because the same thing happens on my XP computer.
Oh! I almost forgot! Playing the game also automatically changes the color settings on Vista, but as soon as you close it, Vista changes your color scheme back to what your origonal settings were. ^^; (Like I said, I've only had it a day, and so far, no problems *knocks on wood*)
So...if anyone can help me resolve this issue, that would be great. Is there something in the script that can be changed (and someone can walk me through fixing it)? Or is this something that everyone experiances? It's great to be able to work on my quest, it would be even better if I could play a quest or two as well...XD
Thanks in advance!

You know... I think it works better on Vista than on XP...
It works great.

use ZCLauncher to increase the window size to 600x400 something. I don't have my laptop yet to see if I have similar problems, but I do know that ZCLauncher might be your only choice at the moment

Thanks guys.
ZC Launcher did the trick, MoP, thanks! ^^; I totally forgot I had that. Full-screen, though, messed up my background...I had to re-set the desktop, but other then that, no problem. The 600x400 was plenty big to see. ^_^
I'll be sure to let ya'll know if I run into any other problems.

Why is it I get all the bad luck. I have Windows Vista, and ZC won't work unless:
A. I use a 2.11 alpha build
B. I use Zlaunch
and
C. My computer is in a good mood.

I dunno.
But I do have a new problem: The gams is on speed. XD You touch the button once, and Link zooms across the entire screen. The enimes are all on speed too. Anyone know how I can slow the game down? (I'm using the 2.10.2 version)

That did it ^_^ Thankies.
Also, interesting note: Custom quests do not play for version 2.10.2 on my Vista computer...however, they did play for the beta version I have. XD Guess ol' 2.10.2 just isn't Vista compatable...

Quests built in the betas won't work in 2.10.2 because 2.10.2 is "older" than 2.11/2.5.

I guess I should rephrase that...
NO custom quests will play in the 2.10.2 player on my Vista computer, and I mean ALL quests, even the quest I was building in 2.10.2 won't play. They'll play through the beta player, but NOTHING but the origonal first quest will play through the 2.10.2 player. Also, the opening screen has grey lettering instead of white on my Vista computer in the 2.10.2 version, everything is fine in the beta player.
