As I am writing this, it is already as cold as February outside my house and the Zamboey Winds are blowing like the devil. Nighttime temperatures in the teens will become the norm from now until spring of 2014. Some nights might even reach single digits or below zero. The Zamboey Winds will be in overdrive mode this winter, which is a scary thought indeed.

The term "Zamboey Winds" refers to the arctic winds that always come after every storm during the winter months.

I created this topic in the Minetest forums as well. Below is a link to it there:

Back in my day, we'd walk uphill through four feet of snow snow and some few inches of lava to get to school, and then when school let out, there would be another four feet of snow to walk through and even more hills to walk up! Because nobody knew how to walk down a hill in those days so everyone had to have vertically oriented houses with slides in them to get back down.

...

Obviously I'm no fortune teller nor am I a meteorologist, and I can only speak of what's going on in the present, but I can say with no uncertain amount of confidence that there is a boatload of wind outside and my house is currently two hundred feet in the air.

Oh look, a little girl and her dog.

That was only a few years ago. F5

Might wanna make sure you've got plenty of thick wear, jackets, blankets, and a heater. Hot Chocolate/Coffee is good. Soup is too. Stay warm.

Staying warm, having tons of food and firewood, and insulating your house will be vital for this quite unpleasant winter.

I heard Ragnarok will take place February 22nd so enjoy the winter, it may be our last.

Keep in mind the Viking are a more reliable source than the Mayans.

They say Odin killed all the frost giants.  Well, I certainly haven't seen any frost giants around, so it must be true.

February 22nd is my birthday. I gotta say, as a present, the destruction of the entire world is kinda underwhelming.

Looks like my birthday will be during that 'last' winter. December 27th shouldn't be a too bad day of winter should it?
