Hi!

In light of the appalling decision made by some members of the Zelda Classic development team to even begin discussing the monetization of certain aspects of the program and our community, as well as some of the behaviors of the PureZC administrators, we have decided to remove the download links for all Peril of Rectangle Country demos released on PureZC.

That's right! This porc chop is done!

We are still very proud of what we have made so far and are still very passionate about the project. If anybody would still like to play the demos, reach out to me or any of the other authors and we will be more than happy to provide you with it! And of course anyone who already has a copy downloaded is free to distribute it as well. My discord username is aslion if anyone would like to contact me! What's next for ol' PoRC? Given our dissatisfaction with the state of the program and the leadership we are highly considering moving the project to another engine and have been for quite some time now to the point where we have many features already prototyped.There still is a possibility of continuing work within ZC as well but it doesn't seem like the likely path at the moment. Until further notice any updates will be posted on the alsoLIONSoft Discord if you don't want to miss out!

I know it won't materialize but it's clear that monetization is thr direction they want to move towards. Classic asking for a mile so they can try to get an inch.

More than that I'm simply not happy here. I've been unhappy with the state of things and haven't seen anything actually change for the better. The administrators made it abundantly clear to me tonight that I am not wanted here.

Removing the demos might be petty but it's the only action I'm capable of taking. They are still available and ultimately this move will, hopefully, eventually lead to having an even larger audience. If this is an L I'll gladly take it here for my own health and sanity.
