Thanks, legend27. That means a lot more than you think!

...Because honestly I'm having trouble and wondering if it's worth it. With a tight time schedule for my project at the moment, and with the expo entries due date drying near, I wonder if I should make a full OST or make some of it or just occasional ones? Opinions would be great.

So I said beforehand that I feel I could do better with my Fire Temple track. This is a WIP but it's coming great.

So yeah; go nuts with the old version if you want to use it. As for previous MIDIs? ...They'll be refined as well. I can't promise though!

Your fire temple midi has a great sense of atmosphere. I love the drums in the background, and it reminds me of several Zelda dungeon musics, like the Arbiter's Ground and ... well, the Fire Temple. Hearing the main melody, I feel like it's missing a little something. Simple is good, but I think just one more layer of ... something would help make the long notes sound a little less plain. You might try using some low notes in the choir aah instrument to add a little weight. It almost seemed like I could hear that instrument in there already, but I think it might add more to the Zelda atmosphere (which you're capturing pretty nicely in the overall tone).

I'm facing a similar problem with the expo, by the way. I'm working on a certain midi that's more complex than anything I've tried before. I'd love to have everything done, but I might end up putting some filler midis in there just to have a demo done in time. If working on the soundtrack is all that would prevent you from having it ready, I'd suggest doing the same.

Thanks. When it comes to MIDIs, I have a hard time making the instruments fit in harmony. So this is why I'm stumped and ask the community and some people on IRC for feedback. Choir Aah sounds like a great suggestion, and will be adding some of that in. The second half should be in development soon once I manage to make the first half good.

Thanks for the tip, by the way. Best of luck with your project. :)

While I haven't gotten around to the choir yet, hearing A Link Between World's Hyrule Castle gave me an idea for the second part.

Then I realized ZC makes it sound different.  Why is that?

House of Tides is my water dungeon.

Decided to keep my future MIDIs roughly 30 seconds short to compliment the Game Boy Zelda simplicity look of my quest. I think this is my thing, too. Hopefully they will no longer feel "dragged" out either I need to rewrite the Goron Gardens theme, but will keep a similar vibe/tune.

And as always, feedback is welcomed. :)

now if i can actually work on my quest itself >>

The atmosphere and instrumentation of the song are nice. Definitely brings forth images of water, and has a nice creepy vibe to it to.

There's two things I think could really improve it. First of all, the harp part is sort of irregular. It repeats the same melody, but because of the lengths of the rests, it gets off of the beats and feels strange. I'd suggest having each iteration of the harp melody begin at the same place every two measures. It will make it fit with the structure of the rest of the song better.

Personally, I think your songs could benefit from a little more chord movement. About halfway through the song, your strings suddenly change their notes, but the rest of the parts don't follow. If you maybe drop the flute part down too, but only for two measures before going back to the normal chord, I think it would add a little more depth. I just don't think one chord is quite enough to make a great song.

Blazing Flowers (Goron Gardens) and House of Tides are great, I really like them.

Maybe House of Tides can feel a little repetitive after 2 or 3 loops, but great use of the 5/4 signature.

Thanks guys!

I'm still fairly new to the music making scene. But I might look into these to get a better understanding of a MIDI maker program.

I really like House of Tides! But yes, I agree with the other two: it's a bit too repetitive. It feels like it's missing a melody, even. However, the instruments you used for it were simply perfection! Well done. :)

Was bored. Wanted to practice a little more.

Had a battle scenario in my mind when making this.

I wonder why it's called "GENERICMIDI" lol

Is it weird that this sounds like something which would suit an opera/ballet show? But, sounds pretty good, suits a battle scenario pretty well.

Have an unfinished MIDI. Quitting MIDI making for good for personal and self-conscious reasons. Was going to be House of Tides 2.0 but I kinda lost interest in making it (as like my other MIDIs).

Dude, these are pretty great so far! They're a bit weak on the melody, but each has a very professional atmosphere to it. You should probably update the OP with everything you have so far.

Also, what program have you been using to make these? I compose with OpenMPT but it's MIDI functionality is...not so great. :/
