I now decided that Hidden Mysteries will be it's permanent title! It really resembles the quest and sounds less generic, so I'll be PM'ing a moderator for the topic title.

I also added a new screenshot, updated the progress list and am busy with finishing the 1st dungeon. I'll also make a credits list soon. I think I'm going to scrap this whole Public Beta idea, since I don't want to spoil the game.

Keep in mind that there are more screenshots on Billy Studio, check the link in my Signature for the website!

I plan making a demo after I finish the 1st dungeon or such, so you'll have to wait a little while Nameless.

So it's also my responsibility to speed up the coming of the Demo.
Twilight_Knight and me are involved in each other's projects really deeply. Such cooperation is so much more nice and effective than lonely placing combo after combo...

I'm also submitting to the Expo, it will have new screenies and info, but bad enough not a demo. Still, the screenies I'll be show contain new content and such, same counts for the info. Also a new map. icon_biggrin.gif

Yes, lots more info, the story in the expo submission is almost twice as big as the current in this topic and I've added more features, more screenshots and a 4x4 screen map! CastChaos convinced my to submit it, so why not? I hope people comment on it a lot. That's what I appreciate most. ^^

I thought it wise to add tell about the progress, so:
I have now finished 1 floor of the 1st Dungeon, then I compile a beta for CastChaos. When the bugs are removed I compile a demo and post it in this thread. There will be 1 sidequest, some story, some overworld and the first dungeon in it. I'll try to make it so good as possible, so be sure to check it out. icon_smile.gif
Also, view my expo submission. It has more screenshots and story. Also a map(already outdated) from the forest area included to the demo.

I thought it became time to update this thread again, so I did that.
The progress is updated and locations as well.
Also notice I added all info from the Expo in this thread as well+the demo.

Very interesting screen with perfect layout. The top right part... the next room being visible is a very nice touch. I can imagine this part in 3D...
Also, I wonder if it has story meaning that this cave is half built-in... It's constrcution was halted? Or it was an underground fort, just caved in? Mysterious.

The video shows that you solved the idea of a cave type shortcut opening maze very well. I mean, I usually don't like getting lost in such places, but in this dungeon, the detail and layout and the walkability/passages are arranged perfectly. After Twinleaf Cellar, I'm really curious how will this one play.
Nice enemy selection, btw.

The story, well I haven't figured out entirely myself, but I did thought about the construction. It was a cave at the beginning, some kind of people(I still need to think about that) discovered it and built their base there. Of course, they didn't dare to enter the dangerous parts, so those are intact. The deeper floors contain "interesting things"(if you're greedy, you would do the same!) so they decided to build more there, the 1st Floor can be taken as a introduction. The people built and built untill they found our friendly Mr. Boss and they all died because of the monster. I still need to decide on the people and there basic motivs and such, but that's the main story. Later the dungeon was used to hide the Triforce.

And I will take my experience from Twinleaf Cellar to this and do some more unique things. For example, as far as I can remember, the dungeon theme: "Cosmic" was never used before.
