Should be a simple script, actually. Have a global variable, "used_rod." The Dominion Rod item simply toggles.
Then your statues can be FFCs running their own script. All they have to do is react to user input just like the player so long as "used_rod" is true.
These scripts are like, five lines each. Go forth.

Same here. I couldn't even watch when I fought my first giant spider. I'm over it now, but it was horrible at first.
Now this item would be very useful for puzzles. Some are coming to my head right now. I really hope you can do it Beefster, good luck.
