Alright, this is a sort of test I've always wanted to do on a message board. This has been in the planning for a while. Just hear me out.

Basically, this is going to be a simulation campaign. Anyone can run, and anyone can vote. You're going to be running for PZC's top pick, which is basically just a little PNG that you can parade around in your sig.

The election is divided into two parties: red and blue. Perhaps you favor Red in that it helps make orange? It doesn't matter. Your views will determine your party.

Basically, it's going to be exactly like a real election, only...in a Message Board topic. This topic will give people a chance to write their own presidential speeches and see what it's like to run against someone.

Anyway, I'll conduct it for now. If you would like to run, just state which party you would like to be in.

Official Lists:
Red Party Candidates:
Link Mystro (entry #7)
LostInHyru1e (entry #9)

Blue Party Candidates:
Russ (entry #1)
Octorok (entry #5)
Lemon (entry #8*)
Fuzzyman (entry #10)

Independent Party:
Billy Ronald [Youngies Party](entry #4)

I hope this becomes a popular topic, it sure would say a lot about the election process on a level that the average member can see.

EDIT: Userbars for which side you support:

Wait, so what's the difference between the parties? Can I run for president? How exactly does it work? Why am I asking so many questions? icon_smile.gif

Anyways, I think I understand this. I'll run, representing the Blue Party.

It will work like any other election; you would run for candidacy in your party, and if you succeed you can choose a running mate. I suppose if you must separate the parties they really only come into play when it comes down to the final ballot. It's really just who faces who in the end. Party lines can be crossed, and ultimately people within a certain party should group together based on their beliefs.

Also, you're added. please put a blue party userbar in your sig and link to this topic.

Allow me to run for President. I just want to see how far I'll get. Red Party. Or do you allow independents?

Independents are allowed. I only made the two existing parties to fill the spaces of Democratic and Republican, though I do not associate one of the color parties with either of the real parties so that the ideals remain natural and not affected by one's true party. Trick is, though, now you have to make your own userbar.

So you're independent, then?

Well, whatever floats your boat. It's still red vs. blue vs. other.

Also added.

Well is Red Liberal party of conservative? Or is it based on whatever my views actually are? Cause I think Russ is a conservative Christian, and so am I ... so I can't run for Red if it's opposite of Blue ... right?

I'm confused. icon_freak.gif

Can I run as Russ' Vice President? Or Surgeon General???

They can be whatever you want them to be. You guys have to debate and see what your beliefs are. Don't assume based on what you think you know; don't be afraid to ask.

But you know, you could simply run for Blue party candidacy as well. That's how it's supposed to work.
