if, after 2.5, 3.0 is next, it will only feature improvements to whats already there. Such as moving up to high/true color, and having, possibly unlimited palettes, lots more room for tiles, easier navigation, feature tweaks, et cetera. Possibly more room maps, and maybe being able to edit the map size. This is all speculation, don't take it as literal.

2.5 quests won't be compatable with 3.0, I'm also told, but there will be a converter to convert 2.5 and below quests to 3.0.

As me being a dev. I'll be straight up. No no and No it will never be ported to the ds, xbox, playstation, nintendo, gamegear, etc etc. Windows, Linux, Mac.
