Which were the biggest, fatalest bugs of your ZCing? The strangest bugs or overlooks that made you waste lots of time or scrap a project?

1. Once I went out of DMap boundaries, which means I used even the 9th column for a cave DMap, thus going into the adjacent DMap. Of course the 9th column became unplayable this way. I needed to put a side warp near it and so make it part of the lower floor. What a luck that it didn't have a real map.
2. Once I was making a dungeon without having good knowledge on DMap types. I realized no secrets can be made permanent in a dungeon, but my dungeon would have required it, so arriving to this dead end, I scrapped the original Shadow Wars II.
3. Just the other day, suddenly all combos on Layer 1 turned to be the combo that is left to them on the combo table. After this weirdness, decided against deleting and remaking that layer, I rather swapped all garbage tile to the needed one.
4. Some time ago, suddenly some combos of mine changed tiles, animation and combo type without any reason. It also seemed like two tiles vanished. I recomboed what I suspected to belong there.
5. Once I was making an overworld that was supposed to be only once visitable (no leave until dungeon beaten, never return). But I didn't realize the ocarina can take the player out, causing a horrid story error and a complete plot stop. I changed the DMap's type to "cave" and made the changes that were neccessary to be made with it.

Hey, why don't post some yourself? icon_biggrin.gif

EDIT: Please somebody worthy move it to General Zelda Classic Discussion! I thought I was standing there when I clicked "New Topic"!
So people, don't post MBG material here!

I was making a quest on an old beta(long ago) and a beta bug caused all my combos and tiles to be screwed up, that made me scrap the quest. =(

I was making a mini quest. I used a script that would make it where when you use an item, you switch back and forth between controlling Link and Zelda. but, whenever Link used it, he just turned invisible. icon_frown.gif So I ended up scrapping the project.

One of the triforce rooms I made in an early test quest had no way out of it, if you had already gotten the triforce you were TRAPPED FOR ALL ETERNITY. Sorta didn't occur to me. Strangely, in that same triforce room I had some kind of bug that caused the black-out screen to freeze after you picked up the triforce sometimes, also causing you to be TRAPPED FOR ALL ETERNITY. Deleting the screen and remaking seemed to fix both problems.

Well, a fatal bug thread would be nothing without the famous "Header Error". (It's happened to me alot when I was starting out.)

Other errors include some really screwed-up stuff happenening to all my maps in Kamala's Tomb. (Random tile placement, and some other really random stuff.) Luckily, I had a back up, and recovered it.

Recently, I've had my some of combos switch over one to the left, and had to re-arrange parts of the combo table. This is why back-ups are my freind.

At another time, un-important combos (THANKFULLY) were removed from my table for some unknown reason. Thankfully, they weren't important.

Way back when, I had lost all my combo aliases. After that, I stopped using them, seeing as I didn't want to waste alot of time re-making them just to have them dissappea again.

A long time ago, in ZQuest, whenever I was listening to an MP3 file, and it was nearing the end of the song, and if I was saving, it would crash ZC WITHOUT my changes. (I tend to save near the end of the song, I have no idea why. Just my luck, I guess.)
