People often ask me how to make ZC or ZQ open in windowed-mode, in which case I would send them a link to an old topic where I explained how to do it in detail. I decided it would be beneficial to copy that explanation and make it a pinned topic. So here it is:
How to make ZC or ZQ open in a window:
First make a shortcut for the application, then right-click and go to Properties.
Select the Shortcut tab, like so:
After the target name, type " -res 512 448 big -windowed".
That is for Zelda Classic. Ignore the fact that the screenshot is from ZQuest.
To make ZQuest windowed, type " -windowed -large -scale 1".
(There are other tags that you could use, but this is enough to help those who can't get ZC/ZQ to run in full-screen.)

should point out that the maximumplaying field size in ZC is only 640x480, increasing the resolution above that starts adding a black border around it.

Wow, I never thought ZQUEST for 1.92 had Large mode. Thought that was a 2.5 feature.
