I really do not think that it "turned out very well."  Happyman's acting wasn't the best I'd seen either, it was an immediate give away... oh well.

April Fool's jokes are meant to be a little obvious and funny at times.

The average member who doesn't know how an IB works would have really thought the board was malfunctioning (ok... maybe not this), an admin decided to go too far on a joke, or there was a hacker (I got several PMs asking what was happening with the hacker...).

Since... you are not the average member (considering you seem to have a great amount of experience with message boards and many other areas of the internet), it's obvious you'd know it was false.

The reason I said it "turned out very well" is because of the number of people who actually thought it was the real deal. I already knew people would know it was false when I started my joke and I'm sure Happyman knew this as well when he did his joke.

Whatever goes for people, though.
