Yeah, I was the poor man who submitted. I'll get thrashed. Also my first time too. (God I am trying so much new stuff at the moment...)

Hmm.. The last time I checked, DFW only wins during the weeks where barely anyone submits, and none of the screenshots are amazing. Neither do I see why this shot won, the screenshot looks has if DFW squeezed both sides of the screen to fit everything in. Nothing is centered correctly, the cow looks out of place, and it uses a hideous palette. Your screen is just the basic overused Pure tileset that has been used for over four years. No reason to be cocky over basic unoriginal Pure screenshots that could be created in less than 4 minutes...
... Your not everyones favorite..
Ever heard of the "rule of threes"? If you've studied any art/photography you should be familiar with it.
Basically, symmetrical shots with a central focus are boring to look at. By separating the canvas into a 3x3 grid and placing the focus into one (or 2... any more and it's a bit cluttered) of the intersections will usually give a more appealing look.
In DFW's shot, we see...
Top left, a house. Good focal point.
Top right, a cow. Another good focal point (also Link and a Lynel are up here).
Placing focal points here can lead the eye around the canvas, rather than a big blob in the middle that takes the focus off everything outside it. In the middle of her shot, there's nothing outstanding, which makes people want to look AROUND the screen, rather than AT it.
Revfan's...
Symmetrical, with a central focus. I look at the pokemon doovie straight away, because the rest of the shot is background for that central focus. I have to FORCE my eye to look around the screen, because your design doesn't lead my eye. There's no flow, just a blob.
So next week Revfan, remember the Rule of Threes!

I love RevFans the best, it has a lot more colors for one, detail is high.
It just looks really good to me, the rest just does not grab me the same way.
