I really dig what Joel is doing with classic. But I am disappointed the name isn't broken. : /

 

Oh, and the other shots are pretty good!

I love Joel's screen. The way everything compliments eachother in color and how the wall tiles and floor tiles blend nicely. Makes for an awesome screen.

 

Also, i love that adorable link sprite in notmichaeljfox's screen. The tileset looks cute.

Another fan of Joelmacool's screen, here; it's certainly very interesting and fun to look at, in my opinion.

Abdiel: This has a fairly authentic GB feel to it in layout, though I dunno how you're supposed to open that lock through the tops of those trees that are definitely solid, right? Right!?

Joel: The Yonder sweep! The Yonder sweep is real! Definitely one of my most anticipated quests right now, and the screen is gorgeous too. Loving all the little details with crumbling rock covering the walls.

notmichaeljfox: Not often you see fully custom sprites in a quest. I'm not sure they fit the rest of the tileset but there's interesting ideas here. Never thought to use grass border tiles as overhangs and I kinda dig it.

THEMDODO: Respect to anyone trying to use DoR in the current year. I'm not sure the screen composition is doing it for me, though. Is it walkable in the bottom left or is that a cliffside? Is that a tree overhang along the top or some kind of fog? I appreciate more dark and unusual locales, but there's just some conveyance issues going on. Also minor tile error on the upper mountains by the treeline. I am obligated by the Code of DoR to point that out, even though GB perspective they may be.
