The Calm Cucco is a weaponless Goriya. When it's halting or "firing", it goes into the ground-pecking animation. It dies when hit by any attack, splitting on death into a Running Cucco that ignores all attacks. After some time, the Running Cucco tribbles into a Calm Cucco. Rinse and repeat until you get to a Calm Cucco which splits on death into a Summoner Cucco. The Summoner Cucco is a Projectile Shooter type enemy, so it can use the Magic weapon to summon enemies without moving. The enemies are summoned from another screen containing one Ground Assault Cucco, and one Air Assault Cucco. The Ground Assault Cucco is a Rope, and the Air Assault Cucco is a Bat. And of course all these Calm, Running, Summoning, Ground and Air Cuccos have stat changes to modify their behavior and movement.
I could have made the Assault Cuccos ignore Link's attacks, but I decided to make things a bit more fun by maxing out their HP instead, allowing Link more time to leave the screen if he opts to use his weapons- which gives me an idea for a minor change I should make to the Assault Cuccos. Thanks!
