In this topic, I'm going to post custom tiles I draw so I can be told how much they suck in the hopes of being able to sprite worth a crap in the veeeery distant future.

Those are gamecubes. Not bad, but could be slightly bigger, based on what your player sprite will look like.

Try making a 2x2 GC

Alright, but I'm nowhere near as good at drawing things larger than 16x16 (and I suck at that).

Those are Wiis. They look good so far, but they could use a little more detail. icon_neutral.gif

There's not much detail on a Wii to begin with, Pokegamer. I think they look good, they should just be a little smaller.

I'm personally very satisfied with that Wii. It came out thousands of times better than what happens when I usually try to draw things custom.

However, I know that there is something incredible wrong with this. The shading on the cross looks off, and the front cover looks to be larger than the back cover, even though they are the same size in terms of pixels. Anyone have any advice on this one?

You know, you don't need to fill the entire 16x16 tile area. Your sprites really lack detail, and that's amplified by the size of the objects.
I drew this Wii as an example; it doesn't nearly fill the entire tile area, and there's no large portions of any single color.

Taking from what Sharon said... I attempted it as well, and you can see what happened. Maybe because I have a black outline? Heh. I like the way the left one looks, but it doesn't seem to have any perspective. The one on the right has perspective (barely), but it doesn't look as nice. Heh.

Why do you try? icon_odd2.gif Make somthing useful like a Helmroc King sprite.
