Basically, a little over a week ago, I purchased a Corsair K55 gaming keyboard from Amazon. I was enjoying it until a small problem occurred. My computer suddenly for no reason restarted. It powered down as if the power went out, but instead of being blank, it rebooted. No "restarting..." screen or anything. This happened less than two hours after plugging it into my computer. Afterwards, I thought it was just some weird bug. A few nights later, when I attempted to get off the lock screen on Windows 10, I immediately restarted again for no reason. I called a tech person and he thinks there may be a short in the keyboard that's making my computer act up, but some people are telling me my hard drive may be failing on me, others say my motherboard may be dying and others believe my power supply is faulty.
Does anyone know any solutions to my problem? I tried looking it up online and found nothing helpful. All I am doing right now is using my original keyboard for a week or two to see if I have any random restarts. If I don't, then I know it's a problem with the keyboard. But the problem is my parents threw away the box it came in, so I can't return it to Amazon where I bought it, so I'm out $50 if that's the case.

It will covered by the warranty, so if Amazon won't take it, you can contact Corsair directly. http://www.corsair.c...upport/warranty

So basically, I'm screwed. I took $50 and lit it on fire. All I hope is when my computer didn't get fucked up because of that keyboard (seems odd; it was just fine until I tried to use it). I'm using my laptop now, and there is no way I'm going to plug the gaming keyboard into it until I know 100% for sure it was NOT the keyboard and just something going wrong with my desktop that just oh-so coincidentally happened to happen AFTER I first tried to plug my keyboard in.
Also, AOL is busted for me now, idk why. I logged in and everything is super gigantic and I can't even log out of my account anymore.

Could be some other problem. I was having issues with random freezes and it took me about 3 days to figure out it was the motherboard. I sent it in for repairs- that's where it is now.

I hope this doesn't count as a necropost, but I found out it was some hardware error (most likely the motherboard) on my end that just happened to have started to happen around the time I plugged it in for the first time. After buying my new PC, I gave the keyboard to my mother to use and I now use the one that came with my new PC. So the good news is that the keyboard didn't have to get shipped back/replaced/whatever. Bad news is RIP my old computer. But positive news, I got a brand new high-end gaming PC to replace it, so it's no big deal now.
